Terms of Service
Free First Cleaning with Regularly-Scheduled Service
This is a very popular option for many new clients. Typically, initial cleanings are labor-intensive, with dog waste accumulated over many months. This service will be free ONLY if the client signs up for regular service, AND has already paid for this service. Cancellation of service—when it is initiated with a first initial cleaning—may only occur AFTER the first month’s service has been fully paid for. No refund of this first month, when initiated upon a free initial cleaning, will be given.
Access to Property:
Please ensure grass is mowed regularly to received the best service. Ensure that the yard is not overgrown with grass, trees, and shrubs. The yard must also be free from plant and/or other debris that will make scooping difficult. We cannot pick up what we cannot see. The yard should be free of any harmful objects such as holes, nails and other sharp items as well as anything that could be a potential tripping hazard. Gates must be unlocked. Yards with locked gates will not be serviced. Make sure your trash receptacle is available. We dispose of dog waste in your trash receptacles, unless other arrangements are made.
By employing Pet Scoopers, you are granting Pet Scoopers technicians access to designated yard or kennel areas of your property during the designated service date. If our technician is not permitted on your property for any reason, or the gate to access is broken/frozen/locked, this occurrence will be noted and customer may be charged for full price of service or canceled. Technicians are not permitted, nor required to enter a customer’s home. In no circumstances will this be allowed or required of any Pet Scoopers technician. There are and will be no exceptions to this rule.
Provide the accurate number of dog family members. Failure to truthfully inform us of how many dogs are on site will result in immediate cancellation of service. It is vital that staff is fully aware of how many dogs are on site. Not having this accurate information could potentially result in safety issues for both staff and your pets.
Pet Waste Disposal
Pet Scoopers technicians will dispose of pet waste from your yard in your trash receptacle. This is the safest and most convenient means of disposal. If you decide that you want the pet waste removed from your property entirely, an additional fee of $5 will be charged.
Weather
Unusual weather, including heavy rain events, may impede our ability to serve you on that day. In such event as we are unable to serve you on a day of a severe weather event, we will notify you that we are canceling service that day. If you are on a subscription service, no refund will be offered, as we will return next week to pick up all waste, including what was left from last week. We anticipate such events to be rare and exceptional. If you have an urgent need for cleaning before your next scheduled service, we will do our best to accommodate, but we do not guarantee.
Holidays/Vacations
The following are observed holidays. We do not work on these holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day. If your service is scheduled on any of these days, kindly allow us to resume service the following week. No refund will be offered, as we will return next week to pick up all waste, including what was left from last week. We anticipate taking an additional two weeks of vacation for the year. Vacation notice will be given at least two weeks in advance. Customers who miss two weeks of service will be charged for only HALF of the month’s rate. We will resume service after vacation, and will still clean up the same amount, but we understand the inconvenience, and we value your patronage.
Dangerous Pet Policy
Pet Scoopers technicians will not enter any yard where dogs are present. Clients are required to bring all dogs inside while our technicians are servicing the yard. This is to prevent any harm or injury to our technicians, who may or may not be personally familiar with your dogs’ unique personality and temperament. If dogs are present in the yard, our technicians will not enter the yard for service. This policy may become more flexible through the establishment of familiarity and comfort. If an animal present in the yard is aggressive, a technician reserves the right to decline service, based on this policy. In such event, client will be notified and invited to bring the dog inside for service. If such is not possible, the service will not be provided, and the client will be charged. In the event that an animal bites one of our technicians, the technician will immediately leave the premises to seek medical attention, and the yard will be left “as is”, considered service rendered, and be charged. If medical treatment is necessary, medical fees will be the responsibility of the client within a reasonable amount of time. Depending on the situation, Animal Control may be contacted and/or further actions may be taken. Client will maintain accurate and proper vaccination records for its dog(s) and make them available to Service Provider for inspection, if requested, or in the event of a dog bite/attack of a Service Provider employee. Service Provider reserves the right not to service any yard they don’t feel comfortable in.
Cancellation
Clients may cancel service, at any time, for any reason, with a 48 hour notice in writing—either through the customer software interface, email, or text. If your pets will not be using the yard for a certain period of time (i.e. vacation, illness etc) and do not wish to be charged for unnecessary visits please call 48 hours in advance of your scheduled service. When canceling monthly services, for billing purposes, please let us know 30 days in advance of when you want your last cleaning.
If Pet Scoopers cancels a client: Customers will be contacted 24 hours in advance should service need to be rescheduled with the exception of unexpected inclement weather or unforeseen emergency. A notice of cancellation will be provided to the customer in writing via text message sent to the cell phone number on file. Pet Scoopers will not charge for these situations.
We set up service with a credit card for automatic billing. Your card is set up on file securely and is charged after your service is completed. Service will not start until we have a valid card on file. Quotes in most cases are accurate; however, no pricing is final until the yard is fully inspected on the first visit. We will communicate with you if there is any price change before starting services. We require your credit card on file for the reoccurring monthly service fee. Customers will securely provide this information upon receiving the customer onboarding process. Pet Scoopers will never have access to your credit card information for any use outside of customer billing. We do not accept cash, checks, or money orders. Pricing and promotions are subject to change. In the rare event that this occurs, you will be notified at least two (2) weeks prior to any changes.
