Frequently Asked Questions
Is this really a thing?
Residential pet waste removal is relatively new. Recent surveys show that one in four dog owners know about this service. That now includes you! As the demands for convenience grows, more and more Americans are choosing to hire out this unpleasant task to professional companies that are growing in every major population center in the US.
What if my Pet Scooper misses some piles?
It happens. No one is perfect. We always seek to bring our best game, but sometimes we miss a spot. If it happens, just please let us know, and we’ll have our technician return and re-do, either that very same day, or the next business day.
Can I sign up for just one yard cleaning only?
Yes! Weekly subscription service does not work for everyone. If you would like us to come out for just a one-time only clean-up of pet waste, use the Jobber Request Form and select one time clean-up option.
Do you offer flexible scheduling?
Yes. Our Pet Scooper services are built around your schedule. We offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly options and can also clean decks, patios, and dog runs.
Can I choose my service day?
In order to keep our prices low, we arrange the days of our weekly routes based off of geographical location (much like how your trash service operates). For this reason, we cannot guarantee a regular service day for you if our team is not in your area that day. However, if you have a special one-time event or party that will require a cleaning to be more specifically timed that week, please reach out to our team as far in advance as possible and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
How do I know it’s you in my yard?
Our technicians wear visible uniforms when servicing your home.
Do you also clean commercial properties?
Indeed, we do. From apartment communities to dog parks, we can customize a clean-up solution to meet the needs of large, busy outdoor spaces. We can also install pet pick-up stations and restock the bags on a schedule that works for you.
Can you scoop at my birthday party?
For sure. We want you to have fun and invite all the dogs you like. Our professional staff members can handle parties large or small as well as corporate gatherings, charity events, and anything in between. So relax and enjoy your day outdoors.
What happens if there is bad weather?
When severe weather conditions arise, anyone with a service in place will either receive a phone call or an email from us, so keep your phone nearby and check your inboxes. If you have any questions or concerns about the status of your service, you can always call us for verification.
How do weather-related delays get scheduled?
In many cases, Pet Scoopers technicians will work to make sure your service is rescheduled for later in the same week.
What areas do you serve?
Our business is new. We anticipate growing. Right now, we are serving the areas of Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Stanford, and Atherton. If you live NEAR those areas, please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Do you require a contract?
No! The continuation and growth of our business is built upon customer satisfaction, not contractual obligations. You can stop service at any time by e-mailing us or calling us at least 24 hours before your next scoop.
Do you guarantee your work?
We ensure 100% satisfaction from our clients! If for any reason you are unhappy with any work performed, contact us within 24 hours of your cleaning or e-mail us. We will return to the yard within 24 hours to re-do the job, otherwise we will issue you a credit for the visit.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are licensed and fully insured. For our customers’ peace of mind, all of our Pet Scoopers are background checked and drug tested before joining our team.
Do I need to leave my gate unlocked?
Our Pet Scoopers need access to your yard on the day of service. If we cannot enter your yard and perform our service because the gate is locked, you will still be charged for the trip.
Can my dog be in the yard?
In most cases, yes. We like to meet pets personally before we show up in their territory as strangers. Most dogs love the attention when we visit, and our Pet Scoopers love interacting with them! However, if your dog displays aggressive behavior and won’t allow us to enter your yard, we will notify you and return to the space once the dog is restrained or confined. If we cannot reach you within a reasonable time frame while our team is at your yard, you will still be charged for the cleaning and the rest of your visit will have to be skipped.
If I go on vacation, can I temporarily suspend service?
Absolutely! As long as your dog won’t be using the yard, just give us at least 24 hours’ notice and we’ll skip the visit. If you will be out of town during a holiday week, please make sure to notify us at least one week in advance.
How do I book service?
Most service begins with an in-person meeting, usually to tour the yard, answer any questions, and meet your pets. This initial introduction is free, and you are not under any obligation. If you decide that Pet Scoopers is for you, we can begin service right then and there! You can call with us at 408-614-0475 at your convenience, or simply fill out a request for service, and Pet Scoopers will reach out to you to answer any questions you may have, or to schedule a visit!
